Blast furnace slag: Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag is obtained by quenching molten iron blast furnace slag (a by-product of iron and steel making) in water or stream, to produce a glassy granular product that is then dried and ground into a fine powder.
GBFS is widely used in cement and concrete; it can reduce the hydration heat of concrete, increase the later strength, and improve the microstructure of concrete, reinforcement aggregate rate of the bonding interface.
